Serena has taught middle school and Latin at the Saint Timothy School since 2013. She graduated from Hillsdale College with a degree in literature and is working towards a masters’ degree from the University of Dallas, where she hopes to focus on middle and early modern English literature. Among a handful of her literary favorites are Shakespeare, John Henry Newman, Dostoyevsky, B.H. Fairchild, Walker Percy, and Bill Watterson. When not teaching symbolism or the passive periphrastic, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and distance running.
